APPLICATION

 

Q. Do I need to pay a holding deposit?

A. No. However, you can pay a holding deposit which is 50% of the bond. This ensures security on your room from your check in date.  The remaining 50% of the bond amount is due on check in.

Q. Is my holding fee refundable?

A. No.

Q. What is the next stage after booking?

A. Once we have received your holding deposit, you are not required to do any paperwork until check in day. On check in, you will be asked to provide proof of identity, the remaining bond amount, and two weeks rent. You must sign the student agreement with the office staff and set up a payment plan. After this you will be issued your key.  

Q. Do I need proof that I am a student?

A. Yes, you most certainly do. You will need to supply a copy of your enrolment letter and a student card from your institution that you are/intending to study with. 

 

ABOUT MY CONTRACT

 

Q. What do I do if I want to extend my lease?

A. You will need to give written notice, 30 days prior your leasing ending. Extensions are subject to availability and can be discussed with staff. 

Q. Can I leave earlier than my check out date?

A. Yes, you can. However, if you are package one: you forfeit all paid rental fees. If you are package two: you still have to pay out the remaining amount of your contract.
Please note: your contract is a binding agreement and you are legally required to stay for the full length of the given contract period. Please review your contract before signing.

PAYMENT AND CHARGES

 

Q. How can I pay for my rent?

A. You can make payments via credit/debit card or via direct debit. Payment due date depends on your package options.

Q. Do I have to pay for utility bills such as: electricity, gas, water or Wifi?

A. No, all bills mentioned above are included in the accommodation fee.

Q. What do I need to bring?

A. You will need:

  • Bedding (Linen & Pillows)

  • Towels

  • Toiletries

  • Toilet Paper

  • Personal Items to make your room homely. 

  • Clothes

 

STUDENT LIVING

 

Q. Is the student accommodation secure?

A. The safety and security of our students is a high priority. CCTV cameras are installed throughout the property and in all common areas, parking, outside area and hallways. Our staff members are available 24 hours on call for emergencies and in the office from 9:00 am - 7:00pm, 7 days a week. Each floor requires access by a unique key specific to that floor, only students and staff hold these keys. 

Q. Is there parking available?

A. Yes, we have off street car parking available that is free for all students.

Q. What is included in my room?

A. Our standard rooms include a single bed, mattress, mattress protector, built-in wardrobes, desk and desk chair, bedside table, mini bar fridge, LCD TV as well as your own private en-suite bathroom. 

Q. Where do I cook my dinner?

A. At the end of the hallway there is a large communal kitchen, lounge area. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking utensils you will need.

Q. Can I smoke in my room?

A. No. All of our rooms are non-smoking. There is a smoking area outside where our large BBQ area is situated. 

Q. Is there an onsite laundry?

A. Yes, we have a coin operated washing machine, dryer and clothes line available that you have access to with your room key. Our new student packages include four free laundry tokens.

 

MOVING OUT

 

Q. How do I arrange check out.

A. You must inform reception staff of your check out date 14 days in advance. You must follow the terms and conditions outlined in your contract for check out cleaning procedures and arrangement of your bond return.

Q. Does my room need to be checked by staff before I leave?

A. Yes, your room must be checked by staff before you leave to ensure your room is clean to the standard you received your room. 

Q. Can I pay for the staff to clean my room?

A. Yes, you can. However, you will be charged a cleaning fee that will be determined by how long it takes us to clean your room and the state of which your rooms is in.
